NEW! I’m dreaming of a green Christmas 05/12/07

It may be one of the last things people think of as they are ripping open their presents, or enjoying lots of food and drink with family and friends, but there are many ways you can easily do your bit for the environment this coming festive season.

Can Carnage

NEW! Christmas carnage 05/12/07

We are always looking for new ways to update and improve the SCRiB website and the latest edition to the site is a great new game called Can Carnage. The object of the game, which can be found in the ‘Kidz Zone’ area of www.scrib.org, is to melt as many steel cans as fast as possible by zapping them to fill up your melted steel collector to make recycled steel products.

Hitting targets two years early 15/06/07

You may be aware that the UK is set annual recycling targets to ensure that less packaging material ends up in landfill sites. There was good reason to celebrate recently when new figures revealed that the UK's steel packaging recycling rate had beaten the 2008 target of 54% set by the UK Government two years early.
